Matthew Kupferman – President
Matthew Kupferman learned to perfect his craft of building relationships at the 47th Street Diamond Center in New York City, where he earned honors as top sales executive. With over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development focused on driving revenue growth in highly competitive markets, Matt joined Global Software, Inc. in 1996. While at Global, Matt has shown he is second to none at developing and cultivating strategic partnerships, while meeting the needs of Global's customer base - expanding it by over 20 percent per year which reflects a 300 percent revenue growth since 2002. In addition, under Matthew’s leadership Global has grown from 25 to more than 90 dedicated employees with an average tenure of 9 plus years and the number of offices has increased from one to four locations including an office in the United Kingdom. He received a BS degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University and holds a Graduate degree of Gemology from the Gemological Institute of America. Matt is also the proud father to his son Benjamin and owner of a Dachshund, Prince.
Spencer Kupferman – Vice President, Worldwide Corporate Affairs
Spencer Kupferman joined Global Software, Inc. in 1996 as a Marketing Analyst where he quickly moved his way up. Spencer currently builds the company's international brand, while directing the Worldwide Partner Channel for Global's strategic spreadsheet automation tools, becoming a recognized sign of expertise throughout the world. Spencer received a BS degree in Kinesiology from the University of New Hampshire and holds an MBA with a concentration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. Spencer enjoys playing basketball and spending every spare minute he has with his wife and 3 children.
Becky Kaufman – Vice President, Client Services
Prior to joining Global Software, Inc. in 1993, Becky Kaufman served as a financial and community service application consultant for EDS. While at Global, Becky has overseen application support, technical support, and quality assurance. In addition, Becky spearheaded product development efforts for Global's suite of financial applications. Due to her unrelenting passion for providing premium-level customer support and services, she is also one of the most well-known members of the Global family throughout the customer base. Becky received a BS in Accounting from Elon University.
David Oakes – Vice President, Application Development
David Oakes joined Global Software, Inc. in 1989. During his lengthy tenure, Mr. Oakes has assisted in leading Global's award winning customer support and services department. David currently directs product development efforts for Global's financial applications suite on both the iSeries and Internet-based platforms. Prior to joining Global, David served as Manager of Technical Services for GBA Systems where he was responsible for developing software, providing technical solutions, implementing, consulting and supporting various applications. David received a BS in Mathematics from Elon University. A former high school football coach, David also answers to his nickname, “Bubba.”
Harry Powell – Vice President, Research and Development
Harry Powell joined Global Software, Inc. in 2004 with more than 12 years of experience in aviation, consulting, and software development. His diverse background is derived from his service to his country as a Senior Pilot with the United States Air Force for over 10 years. Since joining Global, Harry has been instrumental in expanding the integration of Global′s Spreadsheet Server product into other software systems. He has also led the development effort to create several new Excel-based automation tools, including Executive DASH™. From 2007 to 2008 Harry served as Global’s Director of Spreadsheet Automation Technology and in his current role, he provides the leadership, framework and direction for Global's line of Spreadsheet Automation Tools and Alerting products. Harry holds a BS degree in Computer Science from the United States Air Force Academy. Harry is always looking to challenge himself both in the office environment as well as through his athletic prowess; this is evident by his participation in the 2007 Panama City Ironman race.
Susan Gager – Vice President of Finance/Controller
Susan Gager joined Global Software, Inc. in July 2006 as Controller and was promoted to Vice President of Finance/Controller in 2010. Prior to joining Global, Susan had 20 years of experience as a financial executive with the last 12 working within the software development industry. Susan oversees all US and International accounting and finance operations. Susan received a BBA in Accounting from Siena College in Loudonville, New York.
Paul Zunker – Vice President, West Coast Operations, USA
Joining Global Software, Inc. in 2005, Paul Zunker serves as Vice President, West Coast Operations, responsible for consulting, education, technical support, testing and managing the Seattle general office team. He also assists in product development for the company. Prior to joining Global, Paul served as Consulting Manager for Timeline and spent nine years at Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, where he held a number of accounting roles. Paul received his BS in Financial Planning and Control from Oregon State University and holds an MBA with a concentration in Management and a minor in Accounting Information Systems from Seattle University.
Tonya Cannady – Vice President Sales, North America
Tonya Cannady came to Global Software, Inc. with more than 10 years of sales, marketing and operational leadership experience. Prior to joining Global, Tonya was President of DBBasics, a regional technology training and consulting firm. During her tenure at DBBasics, Tonya grew the company from a single location to a regional provider of both technology training and consulting services. After achieving significant revenue growth, she negotiated and managed the merger of DBBasics with publicly traded New Horizons. Today, Tonya has been with Global Software, Inc. for over 10 years and is viewed by her colleagues and peers throughout the industry as a leading strategic thinker. Her contribution and insight at Global has led to the company’s expansion into new markets and industry verticals. Tonya holds a BA in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tonya’s family life is her top priority, where she spends her spare time with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys playing golf, tennis, travel and watching UNC athletics.
Larry Cucchi – Managing Director – EMEA / APAC Region
Larry joins us with 30 years of International experience working with information technology and application software organisations. As Managing Director he is now responsible for Global Software’s UK, European and APAC region (Australia, New Zealand & Asia). In addition to supporting 1000+ customers through the EMEA Headquarters, under Larry’s direction, there will be continued growth and expansion of Global’s international brand strategies. Larry is based in London, England.
This is Larry′s second ′tour of duty′ with Global Software, UK Ltd. From 1983 to 1994 he was originally VP International Operations based in Raleigh, NC and then in London, England, where he was focused on selling and supporting Global Software’s IBM Mainframe and Mid-range Accounting systems and during that period he also established International offices in UK, Canada and multiple Channel Partners in Latin, South America and Australia. Most recently (since 2001) Larry was Managing Director, International Operations of Peopleclick Ltd (a subsidiary of Peoplefluent Inc.) and responsible for the successful launch of one of the first SaaS based RMS - Recruitment Management Solutions and VMS - Vendor Management Solutions to mainly Enterprise sized companies and organisations throughout the UK/EMEA region. Peopleclick was sold to a private equity firm in January 2010 for a valuation of $100M.
Larry studied Economics at Birkenhead College in England, he is also a founding member of the Online Recruitment Marketing Council (ORMC) in the UK. Larry and his wife Julia enjoy traveling and spending time with their two sons Christian & Marcus.
Mark Gray – Director, Client Services – EMEA HQ, UK
For over 25 years, Mark Gray, a CMA (Certified Management Accountant), has worked in software sales and consultancy, specializing in financial reporting and underlying transaction processing systems. He is currently directing Global's UK sales and client services business, managing both pre- and post-sales implementation efforts, along with corporate responsibilities for the UK. He brings a wide range of experience to Global, having previously managed the implementation of consolidation, reporting and budgeting systems throughout a number of UK organizations. An avid football (soccer) fan and supporter of his hometown team, Sheffield Wednesday, Mark quotes from the legendary coach of Liverpool FC, Bill Shankly: “Football is not about life and death—it's much more important than that.”
