Interfaces
GBA Systems property, plant, and equipment accounting suite has been interfaced to an extensive number of vendors packages on the iSeries as well as other platforms. Customized interfaces to in-house systems are also available. As part of the annual maintenance and support agreement, GBA guarantees to maintain the interface to continue working with the future releases of the general ledger and accounts payable packages.

• A LEASE to accounts payable interface will initiate the payment process in AP. This is especially helpful since leases may be paid on a non-monthly basis and may have varying payment amounts due to executory costs or contingencies.
• A general ledger interface to book appropriate entries for capital leases including debit to the property account and credit to the current and non-current obligation accounts. With each payment, the appropriate entries are made to current and non-current obligation, interest expense, executory costs, accrued interest, and a clearing account. Operating lease entries may also be accommodated through the interface.
• As an integrated property, plant, and equipment accounting suite, capital lease asset entries are made to FAMS for leased assets maintained in LEASE. A single lease record may represent a single asset or be split into multiple assets.
