This Microsoft Excel Add-In provides real-time Oracle reporting in Excel. Your organization's users have complete control over the design and content of your Oracle Excel reports from Oracle EBS R12, including the Oracle General Ledger, Inventory, OPM and more using only familiar Excel features and functions. Users can create dynamic dashboard views from Oracle to be accessed, automated and presented with our formula driven methodology, including summary balances and detailed drill-downs in Excel.

In addition, the cloud-based QueryExchange™ gives the Oracle user community the ability to select pre-built queries and tailor them to meet their specific Oracle EBS R12 reporting needs. Utilized in the QueryExchange™, the SmartPak™ feature is way to group pre-configured queries together. Searching by selecting a SmartPak™ gives users a quick and reliable way to access a group of dedicated pre-defined queries.The Query Designer allows users to build dashboard views from any transactional database or any Oracle ERP application to be accessed, automated and presented with our formula driven methodology.

Spreadsheet Server has achieved Oracle Validated Integration status and uses company level security as defined in your Oracle application. Security is controlled by an administrator and is based upon segment account information.

  2. No, there is no additional hardware required to implement Spreadsheet Server.
  3. 2. Will I need a data warehouse for Spreadsheet Server?
  4. No, there is no data warehouse or additional hardware required.
  5. 3. Do I need training? How long is training?
  6. Yes, if users are familiar with Excel, they will need minimal training to use Spreadsheet Server. No programming or query knowledge is necessary. Users simply utilize the standard Excel spreadsheet capabilities supplemented with simple cell formulas to gain access to their dynamic financial information.
  7. 4. Can I do reporting beyond the GL?
  8. Yes, please inquire about our ad hoc capabilities and other components in our Excel Automation Roadmap (i.e. EDASH, Enterprise Budgeting, etc).
  9. 5. Is this a Business Intelligence tool? What if I already have a BI tool?
  10. Spreadsheet Server is not a BI tool, but is a compliment to the leading BI tools (i.e. Cognos,Business Objects, Hyperion, etc). In fact, over 83% of Global Software Inc.'s 4,000+ clients in 40 countries use a leading BI tool in conjunction with Global Software's Excel automation tools.
  11. 7. Where do I find which versions of my ERP are supported?
  12. We support most worldwide ERP systems, but you may contact us directly here regarding your specific needs.
  13. 8. What is the difference between this tool and my current reporting strategy?
  14. Every reporting environment is different, however most prospective users we encounter are either using a data warehouse that reflects yesterday's data, manually rekeying data or have an IT maintain the current reporting environment exclusively. With our application(s) users are empowered to be self-sufficient while accessing 'live' data in a secure environment.
  15. 9. I've invested significant time in my current reporting strategy, will I lose reports I have already created?
  16. No, Spreadsheet Server is compatible with any Excel reports already developed.
