Minimum software requirements

  • SQL Server 7.0 Service Pack 4
  • SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4
  • SQL Server 2005
  • MS Data Transformation Services (DTS) on client machines for any user processing data to SQL Server Data Marts. This includes Database Manager, Budget Writeback and all filter products. Version and service pack level must be the same as the server. Install DTS by installing Client Connectivity from SQL Server Client tools.
  • Oracle 9i for Windows: Oracle 9i Client 9.2 installed on all clients
  • Oracle 10g for Windows: Oracle Client 9.2 or higher installed on all clients
  • For Oracle sites, SQL Plus must be installed on any machine where a database will be generated with new or updated account parts. Typically install on machines that will have Database Manager and Profile Management installed. The version of SQL Plus must be the same as the server.
  • For Oracle sites where source and target data is not contained in the same database, it is highly recommended that SQL Loader be installed on any machine running filter processes. This allows for best performance of filter processing. If SQL Loader does not exist the application will still run using slower data transfer methods. (See 'Guidelines for Permissions and Database Configuration' in the 'Analyst Suite Readme.chm' file for more information.)
  • IBM DB2 UDB for Windows Version 8: DB2 Run-Time Clients 8.1 with fixpack 4 installed on all clients
  • IBM DB2 UDB for Windows Version 8.2: DB2 Run-Time Clients 8.2
  • MDAC 2.6 Service Pack 1 or later required on client and server machines. MDAC version is controlled by the operating system in later versions of Windows.
  • Excel 9 from Office 2000 (Service Pack 1)
  • Excel 10 from Office XP
  • Excel 11 from Office 2003
  • Excel 12 from Office 2007
