iSeries/AS400: No additional software or hardware is required. Our product connects to the iSeries host via iSeries Access for Windows and accesses the Ledger DB2 tables by SQL submitted from the PC. All queries are read-only and adhere to any security that has been imposed by the iSeries Host.
Note: The requirements for the Distribution Manager application are the same as the associated application running in conjunction with Distribution Manager. If Distribution Manager is being executed with Excel, Spreadsheet Server and/or Executive DASH the minimum requirements for those applications apply.

For all Spreadsheet Server installations knowledge of the Database host name or IP address, the Database/Library/SID or Catalog where the Data resides, as well as a Username and Password on the database system will be needed.

Minimum software requirements

- MS Data Transformation Services (DTS) on client machines for any user processing data to SQL Server Data Marts. This includes Database Manager, Budget Writeback and all filter products. Version and service pack level must be the same as the server. Install DTS by installing Client Connectivity from SQL Server Client tools.
- Oracle 9i for Windows: Oracle 9i Client 9.2 installed on all clients
- Oracle 10g for Windows: Oracle Client 9.2 or higher installed on all clients
- For Oracle sites, SQL Plus must be installed on any machine where a database will be generated with new or updated account parts. Typically install on machines that will have Database Manager and Profile Management installed. The version of SQL Plus must be the same as the server.
- For Oracle sites where source and target data is not contained in the same database, it is highly recommended that SQL Loader be installed on any machine running filter processes. This allows for best performance of filter processing. If SQL Loader does not exist the application will still run using slower data transfer methods. (See 'Guidelines for Permissions and Database Configuration' in the 'Analyst Suite Readme.chm' file for more information.)
